Meet Our Team

Dr. Madison Cloninger

Dr. Cloninger joined Plaza Veterinary Hospital in the spring of 2014. She began her pursuit of veterinary medicine from the young age of 6 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the pet loving community in Burlington. A native of Salisbury, NC she received a bachelor's degree in animal science at North Carolina State University in two and a half years, graduating as valedictorian in her eagerness to begin veterinary school which she completed at Colorado State University.

Dr. Cloninger has a sincere interest in pain management in all aspects of medical care, including preventative care, in order to improve quality of life for our animals. She is certified in animal acupuncture as one of the ways she can offer pain management techniques. She has recently begun to develop more of an interest in emergency medicine and surgical procedures. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son and pursuing almost any outdoor activity- especially hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding, as well as snowshoeing when the chance arises!

Dr. Elisa Coccaro

I grew up in Reidsville NC. I did my undergraduate work in Biology at Wake Forest University and received my Masters in Biology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA. I graduated from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. My son attends UNC-Charlotte. I live with my 4 cats: Rajah, Hippie, Senor, and Orion. In my free time I like flower gardening and traveling.

Dr. Jordan Wicker

Receptionist: Bonnie

While originally from New York, you can't hold her roots against her for too long as Bonnie is one of the most friendly and outgoing ladies we have around here. Bonnie has many years of experience in veterinary medicine and is always willing to take her time to talk with you about any concerns you have.

Veterinary Assistant: Luis

Luis has wanted to be part of the animal care industry since he graduated high school. We are truly lucky to have him join us in the spring of 2015 as part of our team. He has a sincere love of his large breed dogs and is very knowledgeable having raised a few litters of husky puppies! He will take his time to make sure we have answered all your questions before you leave. Luis is also fluent in Spanish.

Veterinary Assistant: Bradley

Bradley was born and raised in Burlington and has been a part of the Plaza Vet Team since 2000. He has 2 elderly dogs, Sam and Sierra, and 2 cats, Jax and Thor. From his own experiences with his dogs, Bradley uses his tricks and information he has learned over the years to help clients with their own geriatric pets! When not working, Bradley enjoys hiking, camping, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Veterinary Assistant: Tuesday

Tuesday is the youngest of the Plaza team but none the least prepared. She has an Associates Degree in Animal Science from ACC. She was born and raised in Alamance County. When not at work she enjoys exercising and snuggling with her dachshund Cocoa and her hamsters Possum and Skunk.
